Looking at this adorable gifset, it struck me…Annie takes Auggie’s arm in part to help lead him (ostensibly, at least)…but it’s also, in a sense, him offering his arm to her in a chivalrous move (especially that bottom left one, where they’re both wearing suits). It’s like, she’s helping him and he’s being gentlemanly at the same time. (I mean, I know it’s just natural to crook your arm like that, but I think it’s also something he would do anyway)
